EPAGNEUL BRETON SPECIALTY AT THE PREMIER SPONSORED BY THE
EPAGNEUL BRETON GUN DOG SOCIETY Article

The
turnout of Epagneul Breton at the 2007 UKC Premier event held
at Kalamazoo, MI was the best it's EVER been. First of all
- thanks to ALL the participants and spectators for supporting
this inaugural event. This was the first time the FBGDA has
held a breed specialty show at this event and the attendance
was TREMENDOUS. We had 25 dogs entered in our specialty show,
all the way from show champions to 3-6 month old Novice Puppies.
We had excellent representation of both varieties for Judge
Kay Creamer from Ireland to review.
Several
members of the FBGDA are planning to attend the French Club
de l'Epagneul Breton (CEB) 100 year celebration in France
in the eastern part of the Brittany region, where the Epagneul
Breton was developed over 100 years ago. The meeting will
include the best of the best of the Epagneul Breton in conformation
shows, field trials, and water retrieves, plus tours, usual
meetings, banquets, and entertainment.
We
have developed a special page for youth on our website. We
will be providing articles and materials directed to our youth.
If you have any pictures of your children or grandchildren
with an Epagneul Breton that you would like to post on the
web, please forward them to whuey2@mchsi.com.
We must continue to develop our youth in their love and appreciation
for the Epagneul Breton.
